Leading insulation, drywall, and ceiling products distributor CCF is investing in both its product offering and technical expertise to better support its customers in meeting the new fire safety regulations.
The extensive work that CCF has been doing has led to the distributor securing a prestigious nomination at the Association of Specialist Fire Protection (ASFP) Awards 2023 in the ‘Highest Engagement of the Year’ category.
As well as attending numerous events, members of CCF’s technical team have also been working closely with the ASFP to improve their practical and technical knowledge of passive fire protection strategies. This includes the ongoing development of CCF’s own competency frameworks and investment in dedicated fire safety training events for its colleagues and customers.
As one of the leading distributors to the construction industry, CCF has experience of working in the housebuilding market, specifically on high rise residential schemes, and on projects across the commercial, education and healthcare sectors.
CCF’s investment in technical competency will support its range of passive fire protection products which includes firestopping solutions for building voids and service penetrations, cavity barriers, fire resistant plasterboards, and stone wool slabs and insulation boards.
Jol Berg, Head of Technical at CCF, comments: “With the implementation of the Building Safety Act, the correct use of passive fire protection has never been more important.
“At CCF, we are committed to supporting our customers and this means more than just supplying products. We want to help our customers identify fully compliant and cost-effective solutions and this can only be done by ensuring we have the correct depth of technical knowledge and product training, and that we keep our skills sharp and up to date.
“Our work with the ASFP has been a key part of our journey so far and we are delighted to have been recognised with this award nomination.”
The ASFP Awards are open to a variety of construction professionals, including manufacturers, contractors and distributors, and aim to recognise and reward those companies that are leading the way in the passive fire protection market through innovation, technical expertise and competency. The winners will be announced on Thursday 23 November 2023.
