Leading commercial tile supplier CTD Architectural Tiles supplied several tile ranges for the reception and bathroom areas of luxury care home, Cavell Manor.
Located in Woodbridge, Suffolk, the 55-bedroom care home offers specialist services for residents with a range of requirements, including physical disabilities, dementia and palliative care.
In order to create a restful environment for all users, CTD Architectural Tiles worked closely with Gill Jackson Healthcare Consultants to create a scheme featuring quintessentially English interiors inspired by the history and tranquil feel of the building’s surroundings.
CTD Architectural Tiles supplied its Kalksten tiles for Cavell Manor’s reception area, setting the tone for the rest of the care home. Off-white shade Artic was selected for its subtly stylish natural stone effect.
As well as offering a classic style, Kalksten boasts several benefits including comprising 29% recycled materials, a high Pendulum Test Value (PTV) rating for low slip risk, and a high light reflectance value – making it the ideal choice for a space used by those with additional needs.
Different designs were installed across the 55 rooms, making the bathroom tile package extensive. Several popular wall tile collections in a range of classic yet contemporary colours were supplied by CTD Architectural Tiles for the care home’s bathrooms, including Dyroy, a ceramic tile inspired by the Northern Lights, and Poitiers, which has a handcrafted appeal combined with versatile formats.
Bathrooms across Cavell Manor also featured several of CTD Architectural Tiles’ collections that are suitable for use on both walls and floors, such as the La Lacche Colours range which offers brick-effect tiles in an unusual yet attractive 370 x 61mm format.
The striking pattern of the Havana White Garden was the ideal choice for a feature wall in one bathroom design, but this versatile tile is also suitable for use on floors thanks to its high PTV rating.
Similarly, ceramic tiles from CTD Architectural Tiles’ Nature collection were used for some of the care home’s bathrooms, but where required, porcelain tiles are also available for a seamless flow from floor to wall.
