Curtain walling CPD launched by REHAU

  • 8 Jan 2016

REHAU’s latest curtain walling CPD, which has recently obtained RIBA approval, is now available to book via the company’s REHAU Hub website.

REHAU has launched the CPD as part of a promotional campaign for its Polytec 50 composite curtain walling system, which has been Passivhaus certified.

The system combines the structural aptitudes of steel reinforcement with the aesthetics of aluminium on the exterior. It has been designed to reap the benefits of PVC-U on the interior.

Curtain walling CPD from REHAU

REHAU’s curtain walling CPD has been developed to provide an overview of various curtain walling options, including: stick, unitised, ladder and structural glazing. It examines the differences between them and the most appropriate applications for each choice.

It also focuses on load considerations, which apply when circulating curtain walling designs, and important design criteria for spans, fixings and finishes, material, glazing and ventilation.

Delegates will learn more about the regulations and standards which govern curtain walling. An overview of the testing regime, which is necessary to achieve the NHBC-required CWCT approval, will also be provided.
