Double sided tape range designed as constructive bonding solution

  • 16 Mar 2015

The tesa ACXplus range has been developed for window and door panel applications as well as the application of reinforcement bars and aluminium composite panels

Whilst constructive bonding is used in many industries, there are a number of issues with the process.

For many applications, high-tech materials with special structures and properties are used, meaning that dissimilar substrates need to be bonded.

The tesa ACXplus range has been designed to address these issues by outperforming conventional fastening methods.

It has been developed to achieve production efficiencies whilst delivering long-term performance and lower maintenance costs.

The range has the ability to resist extreme temperatures and weather conditions; it also offers high bonding power and stress dissipation.

As well as enabling designers to produce facades, tesa’s new constructive bonding solution offers gap filling, shock absorption and sealing against dust and moisture.

The range combines elastic and viscous characteristics to provide strength and the ability to deal with mechanical stresses.

To make it suitable for application on rough or uneven surfaces, the product is also available in a range of tape thicknesses.

The application of tesa’s products is a clean and efficient process, adding to the company’s environmental credentials.
