EcoTherm Insulation has announced the launch of its Eco-Cavity Full Fill, a foil-faced rigid PIR insulation board which offers compliance with current energy requirements and regulations.
All EcoTherm Insulation boards boast a low Global Warming Potential (GWP). The company utilises a blowing agent, which has zero Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP) to manufacture the products.
Like the rest of the company’s range, EcoTherm Eco-Cavity Full Fill has been designed with the installation process in mind. The board has been sized to co-ordinate with existing brick and block proportions, ensuring a quick attachment when standard wall tie methods are used.
The PIR insulation board has been designed with tongue and groove edge to secure a tight fit; this subsequently guarantees increased resistance to moisture penetration. EcoTherm recommends that a residual 10mm cavity should be retained when fitting the boards to accommodate mortar squeeze.
The Full Fill boards available in three thicknesses: 90mm, 115mm, and 140mm. The product boasts a thermal conductivity of 0.022 W/m.K; it ensures compliance with the energy requirements of the Building Regulation and Standards, without requiring expansion of the cavity width.
The product has been certified by the British Board of Agrément (BBA), meeting the UK Building Regulations requirements for thermal performance and behaviour in relation to fire, in addition to water resistance, condensation and durability.
Installing radiators in a live environment poses unique challenges for the installer, which are amplified in care-cantered environments, such as hospitals, as Contour explain here…
