fermacell brochure highlights gypsum fibreboard benefits for educational buildings

  • 10 Oct 2016

fermacell has published a new brochure highlighting the benefits of its gypsum fibreboard for education specifiers.

The 24-page “Solutions for education buildings” brochure details why fermacell’s gypsum fibreboards should be used for educational buildings; ranging from impact resistance (protected by a 20-year warranty) to its hanging strengths which negates the need for most pattressing and helps architects better design walls and rooms.

Gypsum fibreboards by fermacell meet all requirements for educational buildings in terms of impact resistance (tested to BS 5234 -2 – severe-duty), sound insulation (five levels of acoustic performance as per BB93) and fire safety (from 30 to 120 minutes fire resistance).

Available in six systems, fermacell boards satisfy all the requirements for sound, fire and impact resistance as specified by the SSLD (Standard Specifications, Layout and Dimensions) published by the Department of Education.

The guide also features diagrams which help to illustrate wall linings and wall construction using fermacell, as well as information on finishes and maintenance.
