Fibo panels chosen for Stevenage town centre refurb

  • 9 Jan 2019

Fibo bathroom panels were recently chosen by Stevenage Borough Council for installation as part of the refurbishment of an indoor market in the town centre.

Fibo’s simple tongue-and-groove Aqualock design meant that the project was quick and easy to complete – taking just two weeks, the panels can be installed five times faster than tiles.

The existing tiles were rather dated and in need of maintenance, so those behind the mirrors and the urinals in the public toilets.

Godfrey Shaw, Building Surveyor for Stevenage Borough Council, comments: “The new panels not only look better, with a more contemporary look; they are more cost effective to fit and keep clean. We had a limited budget for this project so it made sense all round.

“I was impressed with the service too. Fibo provided samples and gave us advice from the outset on which panels would be suitable and guidance on installation. We plan on using Fibo panels in future projects.”

Made from laminated birch, with PVC or brushed aluminium profile edges, Fibo wall panels provide a hygienic, watertight system and can be fitted directly onto walls, including tiles or stud partitioning.
