First look at industry speakers for GEO Business 2025

GEO Business, the UK’s premier geospatial event, is set to return to ExCeL London on 4 – 5 June 2025, bringing together the brightest minds in the industry.

With visitor registration now open, the event has announced an exciting lineup of expert speakers. From government leaders to pioneering YouTubers, it will showcase a diverse range of voices addressing key industry challenges and advancements.

Among the first speakers announced are…

– Jenny Wells, Principal Geospatial Consultant, AtkinsRéalis. With expertise spanning energy, environment, and transport, Jenny will delve into the intersection of technology and active living. 

– Luke Cooper, Geospatial Leader, Arup. A recognised leader in digital services, Luke will explore the evolving role of geospatial data in major infrastructure projects and the power of a common platform environment.

– Sarah Hodgetts, Director, National Data Library and Geospatial, Government Digital Service. A driving force behind the National Underground Asset Register (NUAR), Sarah will provide insight into how geospatial data is helping deliver the government’s strategic missions. 

– Dr Egbe Manners, Sector Product Manager, Ordnance Survey. Egbe, alongside colleague Wes Clift, will demonstrate how public sector geospatial data is enhancing emergency response and resilience in the UK. 

– Will Robertshaw, Senior Consultant, Ramboll. Bringing a geospatial perspective to global challenges, Will will discuss data-driven strategies for de-risking transport electrification and optimising infrastructure design. 

– Rami Tamimi, Professional Surveyor, Researcher, and Educator, The Survey School. A passionate advocate for digital transformation in surveying, Rami will share insights on the role of online education in bridging skills gaps. 

– David Fotheringham, Associate Director, AECOM. An expert in mobile data collection and automation, David will explore how mobile mapping is becoming business as usual across industries.

David remarks: “I look forward to showing the work I’ve done to make mobile mapping open across AECOM to make our staff safer, understand trends and solve common problems. I have a real passion for mobile mapping to support people collect high quality data on site quickly and easily.”

– Kirsteen Allan, Principal GIS Consultant, Jacobs. Kirsteen will highlight how natural asset management is shaping the future of sustainable energy infrastructure. 

– Chris Newlands, CEO & Founder, Space Aye. A top figure in the commercial space industry, Chris will showcase how space technology is transforming AI models and driving innovation. 

Chris comments: “I’m genuinely delighted to be attending and speaking at GEO Business! The impact and benefits of Artificial Intelligence (AI) models will be high on everyone’s agenda, Space Aye’s Large Terrestrial Model (LTM) will enable a new and exciting set of capabilities, across all sectors.”

– Donna Lyndsay, Strategic Market Lead. Environment and Sustainability, Ordnance Survey – Donna will examine the balance between biodiversity, land use, and sustainable development. 

– Stephanie Bricker, Head of Urban Geoscience and Spatial Planning, British Geological Survey. With a deep understanding of ground investigation data, Stephanie will discuss its untapped potential in the UK geospatial sector. 

– Anna Gomolka, GIS Manager, Westminster City Council. Leading a team focused on smart city initiatives, Anna will explore how secure, live access to street asset data in ArcGIS Server is transforming urban planning and community services.

Anna remarks: “I’m excited to be back at GEO Business – this time as a speaker! I’ll be sharing how our collaboration with FM Conway enabled live access to our street asset data, streamlining operations. Looking forward to discussing its impact and what’s next!”
