Roofline, rainwater and cladding specialist The Plastik Place was set up in early last year, with a trade counter in central Liverpool – its founders, Phil Naylor and Kris Robinson, had used Freefoam for over 20 years during their time at CFS Cladding & Fascias and SIG; when it came to setting up their own business, Freefoam was ‘the obvious choice’.
Phil Naylor commented: “We didn’t hesitate in choosing Freefoam as a supplier for The Plastik Place, as we’d worked with them in previous companies and our customers love Freefoam products. Freefoam gives us everything we need: a full product range and the right support and service.
“The team is great and our area sales manager is always on hand to help. As a new business, Freefoam has given us the support to build our brand, including marketing materials, POS and even advertising boards for the main road near our premises.”
Sales are strong at The Plastik Place, with growing demand for home improvements occurring courtesy of a shift in consumer spending habits.
Phil added: “Our customers are mostly builders and roofers, and they’ve seen a huge spike in extensions and home renovations. During the last nine months people haven’t been able to go on holiday so they’re spending money on updating their homes instead.
“There’s definitely a trend for improving rather than moving and colour is a big part of this. Grey is a top seller and Rosewood is very popular too.
“What’s great about Freefoam is they are quick to react to emerging trends and have a leading colour range to help us capitalise on this growing market. We’re looking forward to a long and successful partnership with Freefoam.”
