Freefoam launch a new video with long standing customer Building Plastics Wales Ltd. The short film showcases the business and its customers and illustrates how Freefoam work with its trade suppliers to build long standing relationships leading to growth and success.
Colin St John, Commercial Director, explains: “We support all our customers and believe that their growth is our growth. Building strong and lasting relationships with our customers, such as Building Plastics Wales, is crucial to our business.
“Our roofline, cladding and interior products are an ideal addition to any PVC supplier and it’s fantastic to see this customer grow and flourish with the help of Freefoam.”
A family run business based in South Wales, with two branches in Blackwood and Newport, the company was started in 2014 by Vaughan Colley.
Vaughan has many years experience selling PVC products and could see a gap in the market in South Wales for local supply, as well as the growing opportunity for online sales of building products.
Vaughan explains: “We have grown the business over time, moving from the original single unit, to three units in Blackwood and the addition of our Newport branch to service the local area and our internet sales.
“We supply the full range of Freefoam building plastics throughout the UK, from the top end of Scotland to the bottom end of Cornwall, delivered by own vehicles and network of national couriers.”
Building Plastics Wales serve a wide range of customers from trade buyers, DIY customers and large housing associations.
Vaughan adds: “We’ve seen our online sales grow year on year, and they now form around 40% of our total business. E-commerce business is made up of a mixture of purely online customers from all around the UK alongside our increasingly growing number of traditional local trade customers choosing to click and collect from branch or have products delivered to site.
“It’s a trend we can see continuing, and we’re pleased we’ve got the systems in place to make the most of this opportunity.”
Freefoam work closely with Building Plastics Wales, through the Area Sales Manager, Steve Shaw. Steve gives regular product and technical support and actively looks for new business for Building Plastics Wales.
Vaughan concludes: “Our sales of Freefoam products has grown as Freefoam bring out new products. We have a good working relationship with the customer service team and Steve, our area manager. I can only see this relationship with Freefoam getting stronger as we build the company up.”
