Gilberts Blackpool is continuing to build on its reputation as a pioneer with the unveiling of ThermaAstute™ – the most extensive range of thermally sensitive diffusers in the market.
The new range has been developed to help reduce energy consumption as part of the building’s ventilation strategy, and to contribute towards enhancing occupant comfort by minimising variations in ambient temperature.
Complimenting the temperature-reactive swirl diffusers already on the market, Gilberts can now offer jumbo and high-capacity linear slot diffusers, jet nozzles and drum louvres.
To its knowledge, no other manufacturer has such a breadth of choice.
Gilberts’ ThermaAstute™ thermally sensitive diffusers work by detecting even slight variations (±2°C) from the preset ambient temperature and adjust airflow between horizontal and vertical to maintain a comfortable, draught-free environment within seconds.
The process ensures rapid initial warm up, and avoidance of uncomfortable draughts, hot spots and cold dumping. Further, it optimises energy efficiency of the building services by getting the heated or cooled air to where it is most needed. This reduces unwanted load on ventilation/air conditioning plant and variation. It also helps to maximise occupant comfort and health & wellbeing which in turn boosts employee productivity and safety.
ThermaAstute™ diffusers need no external energy to operate and require no external wiring or controls. They are also virtually maintenance-free.
The combination of benefits means Gilberts’ ThermaAstute™ diffusers can make a positive contribution towards any BREEAM, LEED or similar accreditation.
Ian Rogers, Gilberts Sales Director, remarks: “To quote a popular adage, ‘every little helps’.
“It’s about improving the environment without adding cost, about small changes that can make a significant impact – on carbon footprint, fuel bills and occupant performance.
“Only our ThermAstute™ range offers such diversity in type – diversity that we will be further extending in the future.”
Full details of the ThermaAstute™ range can be found on Gilberts’ website.
