As part of its ongoing political campaigning, the Glass and Glazing Federation – commonly known as the GGF – will exercise a presence at the upcoming Conservative, Plaid Cymru and SNP party conferences.

The Federation, which has already been represented at the Liberal Democrat Party Conference and Labour’s Party Conference, intends to take advantage of the networking opportunities that the Conferences offer.

Politics and the glazing industry

By relaying its issues with the glazing industry to key political influencers, the GGF hopes to initiate changes within the sector. It will also be able to gather new information that may affect its Members and future political campaigns.

The GGF’s Chief Executive, Nigel Rees, will be attending Business Day at the Conservative Party Conference, which is to be held from Sunday 4th October, until Wednesday 7th October at Manchester Central.

Mr. Rees has already booked for various meetings with relevant Ministers and Senior Conservatives.

The GGF will be represented by its political advisors, GK Strategy, at the Scottish National Party Conference (Thursday 15th October, until Saturday 17th October at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre) and the Plaid Cymru Party Conference (Friday 23rd October, until Saturday 24th October at the Aberystwyth Arts Centre).
