Gold Medal recognises commitment to accident prevention

RoSPA is a family safety charity which aims to save lives and reduce injuries through the prevention of accidents. In support of this mission, the RoSPA Awards, which date back 59 years, recognise the commitment to continuous improvement in accident and ill health prevention at work.

Through the scheme, open to businesses of all types and sizes across the UK and overseas, judges consider entrants overarching occupational health and safety management systems, including practices such as leadership and workforce involvement.

Group Director Jon Stannah, commented:

“This Gold Medal is for everyone within our 1500 strong organisation who consistently exceed the required health and safety guidelines to ensure the safety of all our customers, our suppliers and our own colleagues at Stannah.”

He added: “We are very proud to receive the award on behalf of all our employees but must give special mention to our health and safety team who work tirelessly to maintain our standards.”

David Rawlins, RoSPA’s Awards Manager, said:

“The RoSPA Awards encourage improvement in occupational health and safety management. Organisations that gain recognition for their health and safety management systems, such as Stannah Lifts Group of Companies, contribute to raising standards overall and we congratulate them.”

Stannah will collect its award at ExCel, where they are also exhibiting at the Facilities Show during Health & Safety Week on Stand Q1400.
