Novus Property Solutions has carried out essential repairs and maintenance to Huntley Manor, a Grade II Listed and Gloucestershire-based property with a damaged roof.
Built in 1862, Huntley Manor is a Victorian Gothic house, with a French chateau inspired style. Desgined by Samuel Sanders Teulo, the Gloucestershire-based property features a number of historic chimneys and a steep, pointed roof.
The Grade II Listed property’s roof required essential maintenance work, including a complete external redecoration and minor timber repairs. The gutter system had to be re-lined and the sash windows overhauled.
Novus Property Solutions was contracted to carry out the necessary work over a six-week period. The company installed a scaffolding system to protect the Huntley Manor’s historic chimneys and turreted roof.
A number of Belzona’s liquid roofing products were applied to the manor’s flat roof areas, in order to extend the life of the roof.
The rainwater gutter system was re-lined with liquid lining products to form a watertight system.
To limit the volume on scaffolding on the premises, Novus carried out work in phases, with the aim of keeping disruption to the occupants to a minimum. This method also allowed the company to work effectively around the roof’s distinctive period features.
