Innovation Centre expanded for construction industry workers

The Centre’s new meeting room provides extra space for the industry to discuss the creation of sustainable and comfortable buildings

The Saint-Gobain Innovation Centre, which is located in London on Great Portland Street, has played host to a series of construction industry events since its opening.

Some of these events include Zero Carbon Hub seminars, Passivhaus Trust’s Masterclass sessions and a range of UBM Ecobuild events.

The facility has also been frequently used by the Construction Industry Training Board and the UK Green Building Council.

An increase in capacity

Developed as a forum for construction industry workers in 2013, the Centre has recently been expanded to accommodate more meeting space.

The site now features an upstairs meeting room, which has been soundproofed against its existing room.

It also includes breakout pods, enabling visitors to examine its displays of sustainable solutions and products for different buildings.
