London’s hotel portfolio has grown again, with the latest addition, Good Hotel London, in the city’s Royal Victoria Dock.
Joining HotelREZ Hotels & Resorts’ independent portfolio in London, the project has utilised the expertise of other leading companies, such as Interflow, to ensure guests enjoy a high-quality experience.
London’s first floating platform hotel aims to support and value the local community, as part of the Good Group organisation, a non-profit company founded in 2012 by Dutch entrepreneur Marten Dressen.
UK installer and distributor of a specialist range of products for the built environment, Interflow aims to enhance, add value and increase sustainability across public, private and commercial sectors, thereby helping customers save energy and reduce their carbon footprint.
Interflow was the first choice for developers and specifiers throughout the UK, with it’s extensive range of solutions, and DOYMA products were selected specifically for the Good Hotel scheme, ensuring the hotel’s promise to provide guests with a unique visitor experience.
The DOYMA Curaflex pipe gasket insert C/S has been supplied by Interflow, boasting simple installation with precise dimensions and large sealing ranges, guaranteeing watertightness up to at least 30 metres head of water for a minimum of 25 years.
A permanent leakproof and maintenance free solution without retorquing is offered by the DOYMA gasket, with the higher sealing performance provided by DPS and DOYMA-Grip. It is completed with watertight, tapped and welded studs and manufactured according to particular specifications.
Providing the perfect sealing system for penetrations against pressing water for pipes and cables with special dimensions, the DOYMA Curaflex system is essential to the success of the Good Hotel.
In addition, the floating hotel will also give back to the community, providing long-term employed locals with on-site, customised hospitality training and locally sourced produce in the hotel bar, cafe and restaurant where possible.
DOYMA pipe sealing systems prevent structural damage and DOYMA duct sealing systems ensure professional and perfect sealing, therefore leading to excellent preventative measures against structural damage.
Interflow’s DOYMA products are supported by an insurance company underwritten 25-years warranty and the very best in German engineering is used to seal penetration points at the wall, permanently preventing any infiltration of gases and water in to the building.
Embedding sustainability within any organisation requires a broad, strategic perspective. Scrutiny should include the physical infrastructure itself: According to the IEA, buildings consume around 30% of global energy*. ASSA ABLOY has more…
