The company was contracted to refresh the hall in preparation for the school’s 500th anniversary in 2015, with the work valued in the region of £25,000 and undertaken over an eight week period.

A classic colour scheme from Crown Paints was used around traditional features such as a stained glass window, whilst one decorative leaf on the 12-metre high ceiling was left unfinished to honour an old school tradition.

The Memorial Hall commemorates both World Wars and sits inside the main building of the school, which was founded in 1515 and finally finished in 1931.
