NARM publishes updated rooflighting guidance document

  • 8 Dec 2021

NARM, the National Association of Rooflight Manufacturers, updates its technical document entitled ‘NTD01 – An introduction to natural daylight design through rooflighting’. This is in response to the issue of new Building Regulations for each of the devolved nations of the UK.

The updates cover fire safety aspects affecting rooflights, including…

 – escape of building occupants
 – inhibition of the spread of fire
 – structural integrity

Outlines of fire classification of construction products/building elements and fire tests on building materials and structures also feature.

The document, now on version NTD01.3, is one of a series of comprehensive technical documents published by NARM. All of these are available for free download from the NARM website.
