New edition door from Schueco to make it clear

  • 12 Jan 2018

Building envelope specialist, Schueco UK, has recently released a new version of a quality lift-and-slide door that the company first introduced to Britain in 2010.

This latest update of Schueco’s ASS 70.HI DE maintains the basic profile depth of 70 mm but offers an ultra-slimline configuration that is even more versatile.

The outcome is that fully glazed doors are able to deliver the clearest possible views with very little visual interruptions, yet still maintain the maximum door height of 3 m.

Further improvements include vent weights of up to 300 kg, with a maximum glass thickness of 48 mm. A new, easy-access threshold of just 25 millimetres means the danger of tripping is practically eradicated.

Maximum design flexibility is assured by the ASS 70.HI DE comes in a huge variety of colours and if required, the inside and outside frames can be requested in differing colours.

Also, the Design Edition door comes with two-component insulating bars; specifically developed for door leaves that encounter noticeable differences in temperature between the outer and inner profile components.

This feature gets rid of the possibility of a temporary deflection of the door leaf profiles on the lock side, making this door the ideal answer for areas where sunshine for long amounts of time is commonplace.
