Viega has released a new RIBA approved Continuous Professional Development (CPD) on designing pre-wall bathroom systems.
Pre-wall systems are dry construction systems used to create internal walls simply and speedily. The system is a fine example of how modern methods of construction have progressed with pace.
Based around steel or timber frames, pre-wall systems can be adapted to pretty much any room design, regardless of wall height, shape and room layout.
In bathrooms, designers can easily conceal cisterns, pipework and drainage, meaning they can create the clean and modern look sought after by homeowners, hoteliers and commercial developers, meaning changing design trends can be quickly met.
The hour-long presentation looks at the professional approach to designing, specifying, constructing and operating a modern bathroom and washroom.
Designed with architects and interior designers in mind, the new CPD, presented by a member of Viega’s technical sales team, begins with an introduction to pre-wall systems and an overview of the legislative and regulatory landscape.
A detailed overview of different elements relating to designing bathrooms with pre-wall systems follows, which talks about the look and feel of a bathroom, as well as how it functions.
Also covered are environmental considerations, installation and cleaning and maintenance.
Scott James, Director of Viega Ltd, said the company’s extensive range of pre-wall systems, which includes Eco Plus, Steptec, Mono, concealed flushing technology and flush plates, means they are ideally positioned to offer a CPD on the subject.
“With a wide range of topic areas, the presentation provides essential knowledge for anyone managing an existing washroom, planning a refurbishment or designing a new build,” he said.
