New walkway system provides anti-slip access to rooftops

  • 31 Mar 2015

The Kee Walk rooftop walkway system has been designed to provide slip resistance and fall protection

The Kee Walk rooftop walkway system is the latest edition to Roof Edge Fabrication’s range of fall protection products.

As well as providing workers with an anti-slip walking surface, the walkway system also delivers a separation route, which protects the roof surface from foot traffic and potential damage.

A variety of step and traverse options allow access to be created for almost any roof configuration from 0 to 35°.

Designed for use on sloping, flat and barrel roofs, the Kee Walk walkway system can either be free standing or fixed to the roof covering.

It is certified to BS 4592 and tested to EN 516: Prefabricated Accessories for Roofing – Installations for roof access – Walkways, treads and steps.

Open tread

The Kee Walk has been developed with open tread to allow water to drain away effectively.

Each tread has been made using nylon that has been reinforced with glass to provide enhanced slip resistance.

The system’s modular design uses standard stair treads and pre-assembled lengths, which make it easier to install as well as cost-effective.
