Novus wins Thistle hotel refurb contract

Novus complete Thistle hotel refurbishment contract

Novus Property Solutions worked closely with the hotel groups’ building projects manager to devise a programme and cost-effective specification to meet Thistle’s high quality and branding.

The project involved taking out 26 bedrooms and bathrooms and installing new bathroom suites and showers, together with the full redecoration of the bedrooms. Novus completed joinery, plumbing, electrical works, tiling, plastering, painting and the replacement of lighting and fittings.

Alexandra Young, building projects manager for Thistle Hotels: “The upgrading of the Thistle Aberdeen Altens bedrooms and bathrooms is the first project Novus has completed for us as a client. The successful completion within a quick turnaround programme, and the resulting high quality of the handed over end product. I was impressed from the professional manner in which the management team had procured the project, through the various stages to the skill base of the workmen on site who excelled on the quality of the final finished product”.

The hotel remained open throughout the project. The contract was completed within budget and on schedule over a compressed five week programme.
