With the help of Johnstone’s Trade’s paint products and colour advisory team, the staff of a Liverpool-based concept store has been able to create an interior that reflects its values.
Situated near Basnett Street, the Rex Store plays host to a number of Liverpool’s independent retailers, artists and designers who sell homeware, gifts, whole foods and other paraphernalia.
Johnstone’s Trade contributed to the development of the concept store; its colour advisory team, PPG Extra, provided swatch charts and colour pots to encourage the store’s workers to think creatively.
The team ensured that every member of staff was equipped to carry out the decoration themselves, as planned.
Johnstone’s Acrylic Durable Matt was specified for use in the busy retail environment because of its ability to resist its abrasion. Used throughout the store in a range of colours, the paint product provided a durable finish.
Its fast drying properties also allowed the staff to complete the job promptly before the store was due to open to the public.
Johnstone’s Quick Dry Matt Blackboard Paint was also specified to allow customers and staff to draw on the walls in certain areas of the shop.
By using Johnstone’s products, the team were able to create a design that reflected the Rex Store’s values and aesthetics.
