The events were held at Sika’s Centres for Excellence in Preston, Dunblane and Welwyn Garden City.
Attendees were given the opportunity to take part in interactive workshops, which were run by the company’s dedicated applications team.
The roofing contractors benefited from live demonstrations of the company’s new Sarnafil Self Adhered Membrane and its soon-to-be-released Spray Applied Adhesive.
These were followed by a preview of the new Sarnamatic 681 welding machine.
Sika Sarnafil’s new solar panel mount package, the Solaroof system, was also on display; Dean Grady, the company’s product manager, allowed the contractors to enjoy a close-up look at the new innovation.
Jill Gutherie from BIM Technologies was also on hand to explain to the contractors how they can expect BIM to impact the way in which they work, whilst highlighting the benefits of the technology.
The contractors were given a ñSarnie stickî and encouraged to take selfies with a project that they are proud of. This helped to create a light and informal atmosphere.
In addition to the events, Sika Sarnafil offers a programme of training courses, through its application centres and on-site.
With over 5,000 fitters and contractors having achieved a Sika Sarnafil accreditation, the company has a strong and valued relationship with its installers.
Sika Sarnafil aims to encourage an open dialogue with its contractors, as well as ensuring that they are kept up to date with industry and product developments.
