Johnstone’s Smooth Metal Paint & Flexible Gloss used for redecoration work

The external facades of ten shops on the square, in addition to railings at the nearby County Library, were all repainted by volunteers including business owners and district councillors.

Johnstone’s Smooth Metal Paint and Flexible Gloss was used to repaint doors, windows, fascia, metal shutter boxing and masonry surfaces, all supplied by the Johnstone’s Decorating Centre on Ratcliffe Gate.

The project to revitalise Ladybrook Square was arranged by the council, who used it as an opportunity for local businesses to strengthen connections in the town and attract more shoppers.

Stormshield protects against mould and fumes and is shower proof within 20 minutes

The Stormshield range has been developed for use by professional painters and decorators needing a durable product that protects the exterior of buildings.

Stormshield protects against UV light, mould and algae, car exhaust fumes and is shower proof in 20 minutes, allowing it to be used in winter weather conditions.

The Flexible Gloss used for the project has a six year plus life expectancy, is resistant against blistering, cracking and flaking, and provides a BBA approved system when used in conjunction with Johnstone’s Flexible Primer Undercoat or Woodworks Universal Primer.

Stormshield is easy to apply and is suitable for all exterior surface coating requirements, including masonry surfaces, exterior timber cladding, doors and windows, as well as preventing water penetration for exposed masonry.
