SuperFOIL, a family-run business based in Lincoln, has been placed 16th in Elite Business Magazine’s Elite Business 100.
The EB100 is an annual league table, established to showcase and celebrate UK SME businesses’ successes. The winners are chosen by a panel of independent judges, based on scores against eight core criteria covering size, growth, ambitions and contributions to the community.
Being chosen as No. 16 in the EB100 is proof of SuperFOIL’s impressive growth. Since its establishment in 1997, the company has moved from a small family business to a leader in its industry, expanding both physically and financially.
Over the last five years, SuperFOIL has experienced an average 34% self-funded revenue growth year on year, remaining profitable even during COVID. The company moved to its current five-acre headquarters in Lincoln in 2019 after outgrowing previous bases in Newark and Tuxford, and is now looking to move again later this year due to increased demand.
Will Bown, Managing Director for SuperFOIL, comments: “We set up SuperFOIL as a family, as a response to the difficulties we had faced during our own self-build projects.
“We wanted to provide the market with a sustainable and affordable alternative to traditional insulation, which could be customised to provide whatever U-value was required and used in all applications, delivering high levels of thermal performance.
“Now, we have grown enough to be producing 1.5million square metres of insulation per year, supplying projects such as Tottenham Court Road Underground Station. It’s amazing to have our hard work recognised enough to be included in the Elite Business 100, let alone to be ranked as high as sixteenth.”
Alongside this achievement, SuperFOIL has recently been chosen as one of six finalists in the Midlands Family Business Awards, for the ‘Fastest Growing Family Business’ category, and also has been put forward for the ‘People’s Choice’ category.
The Midlands Family Business Awards aim to highlight and celebrate the region’s best family businesses, and are the only awards of their kind set up to recognise family business in the UK, working not-for-profit.
The Midlands Family Business Awards final is due to take place on Thursday 29 June 2023, and voting will be open for the People’s Choice category from (5 – 23 June).
