Sales to builders and contractors by Britain’s builders’ merchants surged in September, with sales up 8.3% compared with September last year, according to the latest Builders Merchants Building Index (BMBI) report.
The latest report from BMBI shows total Builders’ Merchant value sales in Q4 2019 were -4.0% down compared with the same quarter in 2018.
Total Builders’ Merchants’ value sales to builders and contractors in November 2019 were down -7.4%, compared with the same month in 2018. On one less trading day, average sales a day dropped -3.0%.
Total Builders’ Merchants’ value sales to builders and contractors were down -0.8% in quarter three compared to the same period last year, BMBI stats show.
Total Builders Merchants value sales to builders and contractors in April 2019 were up 5.3% compared with the same period in 2018, according to the BMBI.
Total Builders Merchant value sales in February 2019 were up 4.1% compared with February 2018, BMBI stats show – and up 8.2% compared with the same month in 2017.
Total builders’ merchant value sales to builders and contractors were up 4.2% in the third quarter compared with Q3 2017, BMBI statistics show.
