Timber protection with Sioo Wood Impregnation Solution

The timber used in the construction of the house was coated in Sioo Wood Protection from Silva Timber

Clive originally had doubts about using timber because of his concerns regarding weathering. As the results can vary, he was reluctant to use the material in his latest project.

Silva Timber provided Clive with a sample of Western Red Cedar coated in its Sioo Wood Protection. He allowed it to weather in his garden and ended up being impressed with the results.

Regarding his family home project, he decided to use Sioo to finish the parts of the house’s exterior which were to be clad in timber.

Sioo Wood Protection has been developed by Silva Timber to provide a consistent silver-grey coating on timber. It has been designed to enhance both the natural appearance and performance of wood.

Clive hoped Silva Timber’s product would provide the right balance of visual stability and natural appearance that he required for the traditional family house.

Designed to rejuvenate damaged wood and protect new applications, Sioo Wood Impregnation Solution is able to provide timber protection for up to 15 years.

It is biocide free and protected against UV light and weathering.
