The Hireman has recently opened a new state-of-the-art super depot in East London on January 2nd 2020.
The new premises, just a 20-minute drive from the City of London, has been designed to serve customers in the centre, east and north of the city.
The family tool hire business was founded in 1985 in Bermondsey Street, London. Since the early days, the company has rapidly expanded by opening further depots and offering additional services, such as equipment repairs and a dedicated PASMA approved training centre.
When The Hireman made the decision to open a new depot, the search for the right premises began. Finding a suitable location with large yard space near central London wasn’t an easy task. However, after a careful search the company secured their new half-acre plot located in the postcode E16, between A13 and A12.
This move has involved merging the company’s East and Central London depots into one Super depot. Merging two teams into one location has now provided a flagship depot, which will comfortably serve City, east and north London, Essex and Hertfordshire.
Chris Lannister, IT Manager, comments on the new depot: “We believe our service has never been better and crucially we’ve secured our future, building on our 35-year history of going out of our way to help our customers. ”
Alongside tool hire, The Hireman also provide PASMA accredited health and safety training, equipment repair and consumable sales. Committed to offering the highest level of service the company offer same day, next day and Saturday delivery. All deliveries can be tracked via The Hireman’s driver tracking service ‘ToolTrak’.
