The Yorkshire Party Company organise large scale events and catering for as many as 800 people or more. They required a safe, durable and cleanable flooring solution as the old floor within the commercial kitchens was unsafe and difficult to maintain.

The old floor was removed before two coats of UZIN PE 480 epoxy DPM was applied, followed by UZIN PE 280 primer. UZIN NC 151 heavy duty smoothing compound was then applied before the new safety floor was installed with UZIN KE 68 a single component heavy duty adhesive.

The upstand was secured with UZIN WK 222 a solvent free contact adhesive which was selected for its high bond strength and resistance to plasticisers. The resulting floor is now safe, hygienic and extremely durable.

UZIN and Geoff Acomb & Sons Ltd were chosen as the winners by leading independent figures within the flooring industry.

Upon winning the award, Daniel Leeson proudly remarked: “It’s an honour to win the award. Huge thanks to the team at Geoff Acomb & Sons Ltd, who did an exceptional job and are a deserving winner for their fantastic work.”
