UZIN expressed his delight at winning two Flooring Innovation Awards at this year’s event, for UZIN U-Tack and UZIN NC 112 Turbo.
The company’s Marketing Manager, Daniel Leeson, picked up the two awards at the show in Harrogate.
UZIN U-Tack won a Flooring Innovation Award in the Environmental Category, while UZIN NC 112 Turbo won in the Installation Category.
The Flooring Innovation Awards showcases innovation in the UK flooring industry – the judging panel for the awards scheme comprises flooring industry leaders, editors of trade and home interest magazines.
Daniel Leeson commented: “This award continues to underline the quality and ingenuity of our products. We continually aim to develop high quality, innovative products which help our customers overcome common flooring problems and make installing floors safer and easier.”
U-Tack from UZIN is a superior method of installing skirting compared to solvent-based adhesives. It is odourless and solvent-free, meaning there is no explosion risk, unlike some solvent-based adhesives.
Compared to solvent based adhesive, UZIN U-Tack does not produce harmful emissions, which makes it safer for users and their customers when using.
It has been awarded EC1 Plus® certification, ensuring it provides the highest possible protection against emissions. The double-sided multi-purpose adhesive tape produces an extremely durable bond and allows flooring contractors to install skirting, capping and coving easily, quickly and cleanly.
UZIN NC 112 Turbo is the world’s first rapid drying gypsum based smoothing compound.
New innovative additives mean a larger proportion of the mixing water is bound within the smoothing compound- as a result, less water evaporates and the smoothing compound dries quicker, even in inferior climate conditions.
Most gypsum based smoothing compounds on the market allow for floor coverings to be installed after 24 hours when applied at 5 mm – UZIN NC 112 Turbo is ready for most floor coverings after just 6 hours.
