Products that have been granted a BDA Agrément are confirmed to be fit for purpose.
The certification also ensures that the products under its umbrella are recognised by professional bodies, such as the LABC and the NHBC.
Before the certificate was issued to Kingspan Insulation, every aspect of its Kingspan OPTIM-R panel had to assessed.
This evaluation was carried out by BDA Advies, who hold over 30 years’ experience in testing and inspecting materials for use in building envelope.
After examining everything about the product – from its manufacture to its installation – the BDA Advies approved it.
The assessors found that, with a proven aged design value thermal conductivity of 0.007 W/m?K, Kingspan’s OPTIM-R panel is effective as an insulation product.
Their complete findings are recorded within the document
