CMS launches trade PVCu windows and doors service with dedicated new factory

  • 3 May 2019

A comprehensive new range of high quality PVCu windows and doors tailored exclusively to the needs of the trade market in Scotland is now available, as CMS Trade is launched.

A dedicated new division of CMS Window Systems, one of Scotland’s leading designers, manufacturers and installers of windows, doors and curtain walling, CMS Trade is operating from a new 25,000 square foot, state-of-the-art factory in East Kilbride, to the south of Glasgow.

Leading CMS Trade are some familiar figures from the window and door industry in Scotland, with Colin Torley (General Manager) and Stuart Glen (Factory Manager) set to bring their industry experience of more than 35 years to the table.

Ideally located to serve the central belt, as well as Scotland as a whole, this new manufacturing facility offers a wide PVCu window and door portfolio based on the Eurocell and REHAU profile systems.

It provides a complete solution for residential new builds or replacement projects, large or small, allowing small builders and installers to work with a local manufacturer of a full range of windows and door products, all delivered free within 25 miles of East Kilbride, in a five day turnaround.

CMS Trade will guarantee trade customers to benefit from CMS’ manufacturing expertise, which has been vital to its rapid growth in becoming one of Scotland’s largest window and door manufacturers in a little over thirteen years.

The Senior team’s 150+ years of collective manufacturing experience allows CMS to offer outstanding quality windows and doors, which have maximum visual appeal with fine detailing, such as a very fine 0.2mm joint for a virtually seamless finish.

Working with CMS Trade will also help customers to reduce their landfill waste costs and improve their environmental credentials through its free recycling service.

CMS Trade will take trade customers’ old windows and doors, removed during replacement projects, for separation and recycling in the same ways it does for all its social housing and commercial contracts.

David Ritchie, CEO of CMS Window Systems, commented: “Creating a dedicated factory for CMS Trade has enabled us to develop a product range and service geared to the specific needs of trade window and door customers.

“It’s a fresh new approach that we think is a win-win for trade customers – great quality products, competitively priced and delivered in the shortest lead times, plus the opportunity to cut waste disposal costs.”
