Durapipe releases new lightweight ECU for its PLX Pipe System

  • 20 Mar 2020

As it continually strives to offer improvements to customers, Durapipe has enhanced its range of PLX Electrofusion Control Units to offer choice and flexibility to installers.

Launched in direct response to customer feedback, a new, lightweight ECU machine has been introduced, to complement its existing offering.

At just 12kg, the new unit can be supplied with a light duty shoulder carry case for ease of transport around site, aiding the process for installers. For sites and applications requiring a more robust solution, a heavy duty carry case is also available.

Supplied in 110v or 230v options, the new unit comes with barcode or manual entry options and 4.7mm terminal leads as standard, 4.0mm adapters and spring pin adaptors for flying leads are also included.

Suitable for PLX pipework from 16mm up to 160mm diameter, Durapipe anticipates the lightweight ECU machine being a hugely popular addition.

Rich Pedley, Durapipe’s PLX Product Manager, commented: “Reducing the weight of our ECU unit is something we have been asked about by customers.

“We are committed to offering enhancements to our product portfolio that deliver genuine benefits to customers, which is exactly what the new unit does.”

“With ever stricter deadlines, installers want the installation process to be as quick and easy as possible, without compromising on quality and that can be achieved by using our latest ECU unit.”
