The latest addition to Festool’s ‘Unplugged’ range has been launched.

The HKC 55 is a new compound mitre saw system, which has been designed to produce precise, clean cuts at an optimum speed.

Fitted with a 5.2 Ah battery pack and brushless EC-TEC motor, the HKC 55 requires no power cables to operate.

It offers balanced weight distribution, simple operation of the hinged cover and angle and depth adjustment to allow for efficient working, making it suitable for use in construction jobs.

Festool’s new FSK trimming rail is available in three different lengths.

A rubber spring is integrated in the trimming rail to bring the HKC 55 back to its starting position.

This ensures that the saw is ready to use for another cross-cutting operation almost immediately.

The HKC 55’s hinged cover has been incorporated to provide convenience and enhanced safety: a lever inside the machine causes the pendulum hood to slide back, providing a clear view of the saw blade.

To maximise cutting performance further, Festool has released three cross cut, rip cut and fine cut saw blades, which have been adapted for use with the HKC 55.
