Online shopping service for DSL’s customers

  • 23 Feb 2015

DSL’s online shopping service has been developed for builders, allowing them to purchase construction equipment without leaving their homes

Described by the company as a ‘clicks and mortar’ innovation, DSL-Direct already has a variety of non-mechanical construction equipment available for users to purchase.

The company has predicted that its website, which already features 250 professionally graded products, will have 2,500 products and service features available by the end of 2015.

By opening its online store, DSL has made its building works access and groundwork equipment available to smaller builders.

The website also enables customers to shop when it suits them, meaning they no longer need to feel restricted by a store’s opening times.

Once an order is placed, the product is delivered by DLS’s national branch network to reduce transport costs and avoid delays that may be caused by traffic.

The online shopping service has been optimised for use on smartphones, PCs and tablets. The website also enables visitors to view product videos and health and safety guides.

Visitors can also get a direct line through to DSL’s customer service team via the website.

DSL is currently working on the second phase of DSL-Direct.
