Translucent glazing system specified for Vauxhall showroom

  • 20 Mar 2015

The Kalwall translucent glazing system has been specified for a Vauxhall car showroom in Milton Keynes

A large, translucent screen, which has been designed to evenly diffuse daylighting, has been installed above the main entrance of the 2,300 square metre building.

The screen has been fitted to create a pleasant, well-lit environment for the showroom’s customers and staff.

The natural daylighting entering the building is also being used to accentuate the presence of Vauxhall’s cars, which are displayed across the building’s two floors.

The Kalwall glazing system has been designed to reduce shadows and glare whilst eliminating the need for curtains, blinds or solar control.

As an insulated system, it also reduces the need for artificial lighting, which subsequently reduces the showroom’s energy costs.

It has also been used for the refurbishment of rooflights and cladding on old buildings, as well as in new builds.
