Biomedical Center protected by Aperio wireless lock technology

  • 4 Feb 2015

Aperio wireless lock technology has been installed in the Biomedical Center, which will carry out research on organ replacement and regeneration

The facility’s new doors have been fitted with ASSA ABLOY’s Aperio E100 and E100 Premium escutcheons, in addition to EL160 electric strikes.

The Aperio Technology enables access control providers to integrate non-wired doors with mechanical locks into their access control systems.

As the Abbas access control system allows 8 separate devices to communicate wirelessly with it, each of the facility’s doors are connected to the system.

The facility’s 95 members of staff have been given smart cards that are equipped with MIFARE RFID technology to enter the building. Students have also been allocated these cards to gain access to permitted areas of the Center.
