Clement steel windows fitted in historic University buildings

The University of Manchester requested steel windows that would be sympathetic to the traditional architecture of its historic buildings

The Beyer Building, John Owens Building and The Christie Library are regarded highly by the University of Manchester for the historical significance they hold.

Considering this, specifying a suitable window suite to replace the orignal panes in each building was important.

The University wanted to ensure that its buildings’ new windows were ascetically sympathetic to the original design.

Mather and Ellis Stonemasons ordered Clement W20 steel windows for the job.

The Clement W20 steel window system was installed in every building targeted for restoration, but each refurbishment was executed differently.

To preserve its orignal appearance, each building had individual design and installation specifications.
