Weed control materials installed on family bowling green

  • 13 Feb 2015

The weed control materials were specified to treat the bowling green which is located in the garden of Villa Rita in southern Italy

The 40 square metre bowling green area was in need of renovation.

Weed growth was making the site unsafe, meaning that the space had to be constantly cleared and maintained.

DuPont Plantex Geoproma and DuPont Plantex GroundGrid were fitted to provide soil stabilisation and drainage, as well as to control the growth of unwanted vegetation.

The weed control materials have been designed to reduce the need for herbicides.

The landscaping products can prevent unwanted plant penetration without weed control chemicals; this works to the benefit of the environment.

By improving drainage on the bowling green, the advanced textiles have helped to make the environment safer for use, as the risk of puddles and subsidence has been minimised.

The materials have been designed to provide constant maintenance and protection, reducing the need for any manual intervention.
