Handmade yellow bricks launched for use in building projects

  • 28 Jul 2015

The three new blends – Woodstock Weathered, Wellacre Antique and Marlborough Mellow – have been developed to add variation to its range of warm reds and orange hues, which are often associated with historic brickworks.

Woodstock Weathered

The Woodstock Weathered bricks have been developed with light to medium tones, making them suitable for the refurbishment and renovation of old buildings.

The Wellacre Antique bricks offer a reclaimed looking blend of weathered dark and clean ‘biscuit’ coloured bricks, intended for both renovation and new build projects.

The Marlborough Mellow bricks blend clean bricks in delicate pastel shades, ideal for new build projects.

Traditionally handmade

Northcot’s handmade bricks are crafted using traditional bench mould methods and burnt in a coal-fired kiln.

This method adds subtle variations in tone and texture to the bricks, which have been developed to complement the architecture of the south and south east of England.

Manufactured to standard

Marlborough Mellow

The range is available in 65mm, 68mm and 73mm sizes and a range of British Standard special types are also available.

The handmade yellow range is manufactured to British and European standards, including F2 rating for Frost Resistance BS EN 771-1:2003.

In addition, the bricks are hand checked to ensure consistency of quality throughout.
