Soil and rainwater fittings eradicate problem of cross threading

  • 23 Oct 2014

‘Cross threaded’ problems are eliminated due to the removal of a threaded access cap connection to the housing of the main body, whilst the 103mm opening allows for easy access to the pipework system for testing and maintenance procedures.

Cross threading makes air testing difficult

The fittings are impossible to cross thread due to the removal of a threaded access cap connection

A fully threaded housing can cause cross threading, in turn making a positive air test difficult to achieve and fine plastic threads can result in the pipe system needing to be dismantled to replace the entire fitting.

Designed to eradicate the common problem of cross threading, Brett Martin’s fittings consist of a 110mm single socket access pipe, a 110mm 92.5º single socket access bend, a 110mm 92.5º double socket access branch and a 160mm single socket access pipe.

The range suitable for solvent weld fitting include a 110mm double socket access pipe, a 110mm 92.5º double socket access bend and a 110mm 92.5º triple socket access branch.

Manufactured form PVC and Polypropylene components, Brett Martin’s soil and rainwater system access fittings are durable, recyclable and impossible to cross thread.

The access fitting can be specified to suit all colours and designs of push-fit and solvent weld systems.

Brett Martin specialises in the manufacture of plumbing and drainage systems, plastic rooflighting, glazing materials, architectural rooflight systems and semi-finished substrates for the sign and display industry.
