External wall insulation systems compete for prestigious award

  • 9 Jul 2015

The INCA Awards were developed to offer annual recognition to excellence in the external wall insulation (EWI) industry.

The standard of entry is infamously high: all shortlisted projects must have a U-value of 0.30W/m2K or less and the judges are looking for high levels of energy efficiency.

Innovative design and quality of workmanship are also considered.

Each shortlisted project is expected to have helped regenerate local communities or improve standards of living.

Success for Structherm

Structherm’s EWI systems have recently been used in the refurbishment of three 12-storey blocks of flats by Volkerlaser for Worcester Community Homes.

The company has also contributed to Westdale Services’ renovation of 45 homes in Craghead, County Durham.

Both of these projects have been nominated, with the former competing in the Domestic Refurbishing High Rise category, and the latter in the Low Rise category.

The winners will be announced on Thursday 8th October at the INCA 2015 awards dinner.
