One of Kentec’s Syncro fire alarm control panels has been specified to protect the UK’s largest motor museum, which is located in Somerset

The Haynes International Motor Museum recently underwent a £5 million refurbishment to create a safer and more aesthetically pleasing environment for its classic car collection.

The motor museum, which is the largest in the UK, has over 400 vehicles on display.

It features modern classics, such as the Jaguar E Type, and well known names including Austin and MG. It also houses a range of cars that date back to the 19th century.

To protect its extensive collection, the museum’s fire safety system was upgraded as part of the refurbishment project.

The system, which was developed and fitted by Logiscan Security Systems, is based on an Apollo XP95 Intelligent Analogue Addressable solution.

It is connected to a Syncro Control panel from Kentec.

Kentec’s Syncro range of fire control panels use microprocessor technology and can be programmed to suit a number of systems.

The panels have been designed with a fully integrated network which provides a secure interface that can be used to control the safety of a building.

The museum’s new fire safety system offers early automatic detection whilst simultaneously allowing for the vehicles to be started without prompting any unwanted activations.
