Designed to celebrate achievements with brick in the UK construction sector, the Brick Awards has become one of the most established ceremonies in the industry, now approaching its 40th anniversary.
The Brick Development Association has announced its shortlist for the 39th annual Brick Awards
Categories for this years event include: Best Housing Development, Best Housing Design, Best Refurbishment Project, Best Craftsmanship, Best Outdoor Space and Specialist Brickwork Contractor of the Year.
Previous supreme winners include The London School of Economics, St Pancras Station, ORTUS and The Lyric Theatre.
A standout finalist is Seven Pancras Square, designed by Studio Donnie Architects, which stands at the gateway to King’s Cross. The brick facade wraps around the Stanley Building, an existing listed-Grade II building built between 1864-65.
The project is up for three awards; Best Commercial Building, Best Urban Regeneration Project and Innovative use of Brick and Clay.
The Brick Awards will be held at The Hilton in Park Lane, London on the 18th November 2015.
