East Midlands Airport’s Changing Places accessible toilet has been renovated with products from Clos-o-Mat

Changing Places accessible toilets and hygiene rooms have been designed for disabled people that need the help of a carer for personal hygiene.

The facilities are considered as ’desirable’ under under Building Regulations Approved Document M 2013 and regarded by BS8300:2009 as ’good practice’. Public buildings across the UK have been encouraged to install these toilets or hygiene rooms.

East Midlands Airport has recently refurbished its Changing Places toilet to include new facilities, which have been supplied and installed by Clos-o-Mat.

The toilet’s original wall-mounted changing bench has replaced with a new changing bench, which is mobile and can be moved around the room to suit the user. A H frame has also been fitted to allow users to move safely around the 12m square space.

Clos-o-Mat offer design advice for Changing Places accessible toilets, along with service and maintenance. The company are also able to install, supply and commission the facilities and equipment used to construct the hygiene rooms.
