JB CitiDeck deck boards were used to complete each apartment’s private balcony or terrace area

A recent project, which has seen the development of new homes in Portishead, is in its final phase.

Ninety4 on the Estuary is the last part of the project: a series of apartments have been built on the Marina, overlooking the Bristol Channel and the Severn Bridge.

JB CitiDeck was selected as hard landscaping material for the new apartments’ balconies and terraces, as well as the steps and raised decking areas.

A smooth anti-slip solution

The CitiDeck deck boards were specified with a resin anti-slip infill to provide a suitable level of slip resistance without creating a trip hazard.

The boards have been designed with a smoother anti-slip aggregate than JB’s standard Anti-slip Plus boards.

With a less abrasive surface, the boards are more suitable for use by wheelchair users and in urban environments.

The smooth surface of the boards is also less likely to collect debris and dirt, making them easy to clean and maintain.

The deck boards, which are guaranteed against insect attack and rot for up to 25 years, were also specified for phase two of the Bristol housing development.
