Community project to win a complete makeover with Johnstone’s Trade

  • 20 Jan 2015

The Osborne Partnership, MK Snap, Pompey Place and Farringdon Park Community Centre have all been praised by Johnstone’s for the impact they have had on their communities

Four community projects are set to compete for a chance to win a makeover of their facilities from Johnstone’s Trade. Over 50 projects entered the campaign and the final quartet were selected by a judging panel, who took each project’s need to redecorate into consideration.

The finalists now face a public vote and the winner will be announced on February 13th.

The Osborne Partnership, one of the finalists, is a training centre in Dagenham, which offers work and training opportunities in support of adults with learning disabilities.

Similarly, MK Snap is a charity based in Milton Keynes which provide life skills, education, job opportunities and professional support for those with learning difficulties.

In Preston, Farringdon Park Community Centre is run by volunteers. It caters for the whole community, offering activities for people to participate in, skills for them to learn and support and advice for those in need of it.

Pompey Place is a new build located in Portsmouth which offers an alternative learning environment for children and those who are not currently in education.
