Cembonit cladding creates striking and resistant finish

  • 10 Nov 2014

Some 800m² of Cembrit Cembonit cladding was cut and installed at the apartment block on Westminster Place, with 10% of it being specified in Granite to create a stylish feature for the stair tower.

The building underwent a number of internal and external refurbishment works including new privacy screens being fitted on balconies and replacement panels being incorporated for the communal walkway.

The Cembrit Cembonit cladding was cut and installed by Ashford based cladding specialist, Teiko Ltd, and applied to the stair tower to rejuvenate the property’s appearance.

The cladding is durable against water staining and produces a natural looking façade

Eleven resistant boards on offer

A range of eleven pastel coloured impact resistant boards with a matt finish are available as part of the Cembonit range, with the autoclaved cladding sheets obtainable in eleven through coloured options incorporating a matt, optically level surface with a faint directional grain.

Cembonit’s combination of colour stability with a class 0 fibre rating to BS 476 part 6 and a class 1 rating to BS 476 part 7 makes it ideal for overcladding rainscreen applications.

During the manufacturing process, Cembonit undergoes an impregnation treatment that protects against water staining and dirt, ensuring that the façade retains its attractive appearance in dry and wet weather conditions.

Cembonit’s sheets create a natural looking façade and can be used for a range of applications such as rainscreen cladding, weatherboarding, window elements, fascia, balconies and prefabricated façade elements.
