Housekeeping is often an undesirable part of home-owning, with many identifying ironing and scrubbing as arduous and boring tasks.
Curious about the burden of household chores, Geberit conducted a survey to find out more about the cleaning and maintenance jobs we hate as British homeowners.
After questioning 1,000 people, Geberit discovered that bathroom-based chores were the among the most dreaded.
Whilst 2% of those surveyed expressed their disliking of cleaning the bathroom mirror and basin, 19% named cleaning the shower as their most dreaded task.
Cleaning the bath, meanwhile, proved unpopular among 8% of those asked.
However, cleaning the toilet was revealed to be Britain’s most hated household chore.
A staggering 34% of the homeowners dubbed cleaning the inside of the toilet as an insufferable task, whilst a further 31% named cleaning around the back of the toilet as their most hated chore.
By opting for wall-hung stationary ware – such as Geberit’s AquaClean Sela shower toilet – homeowners can make toilet cleaning a more bearable task.
By mounting a toilet to a frame behind the wall, the floor beneath it is left visible.
Mopping this exposed space is fast and easy; the floor can be made hygienically clean almost instantaneously.
The pipework of a mounted toilet is concealed behind the bathroom wall or beneath the tiles, ensuring that the space looks less cluttered.
Without pipes gathering dust, dirt and germs, the cleaning process is made even faster and easier still.
A rimless WC is ideal for homeowners who are reluctant to clean the inside of their toilets.
Germs have nowhere to hide, eliminating the need for abrasive toilet cleaners and excessive scrubbing.
